Quick Q&A

On this page you’ll find some questions we’ve been asked during the preparation of this WordCamp.
If you also have a question, please reach out via our contact page or via Twitter.

What is a WordCamp?
A WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress.
WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other. This is the first Belgian WordCamp with 3 tracks (talks will be in English or Dutch).

Should I attend?
If you’re curious about WordPress and especially if you’re working with WordPress as a blogger, editor, marketeer, publisher, designer, developer or … : yes you should! WordCamps are generally attended by a wide variety of people: from starting bloggers or website owners to core contributors. If you’re still in doubt: read Veerle’s blog post why anyone should attend a WordCamp.

In which language are the talks?
The talks will be in English as we want to make the event as inclusive as can be. Even for french, dutch or german speaking people.

Do students get a discount?
KdG students are eligible for a discount, as their school sponsors the event.
We kept the price very low to make the event very accessible for everyone. 30 euros for a 2 day conference is very very cheap, especially if you compare with other conferences of this kind.

I want to help. What can i do?
We still need some volunteers.
Another way to help is promo, promo, promo. Tweet or blog our event; stalk your friends and your neighbourhood. And of course, show up at WordCamp Antwerp.
